This review is for the stacking combination washer/ dryer. This is the best washer dryer I have ever used. It is quiet and efficient. My clothes are cleaner than they've been since they were new. Love this machine.

Quite a piece equipment. Much quieter than the Maytag Neptune it replaced. Have had plenty of loads run through since purchase and nothing to complain about. We completed the install and was very pleased to see the measures taken to keep the washing drum stable.

I wanted something rather small in scale, so when they were stacked it didn't look like monster freezer! The washer is pure magic. Never had such bright whites.

So far, these machines (stacked set) seem very solidly built. We can barely hear the washer running except during the final spin cycle. Even then it's quieter than I expected. The high speed spin cycle wrings the clothes so dry that it really cuts down on dry time.
The first wash of our clothes proved that our old top load wasn't rinsing all the soap out. With only a tablespoon of soap, we still had tons of suds! Now, after a few washes, we just see a few bubbles. Our jeans don't dry stiff any more because of how much cleaner they are and no longer are filled with soap residue. These are clearly machines built to a higher standard. I'm thankful there is still a company remaining who believes in quality.

I have the stacking units and they are very good no-frills machines. They seem to be solidly built and I don't hear any unbalanced kind of noises at all. Overall they are pretty quiet. They are slightly smaller than most other 'family' machines, so if you are tight on space like I am, they are a pretty good option. My two major complaints are that the dryer opening is flat on the bottom (overall round opening, but flat on the bottom) I am not sure why they designed it this way, but if you are a bit short that raised and flat area makes it even more difficult to reach the back of the dryer to remove clothes.If it had been a full circular opening there would be no problem, but at 5 feet tall, I need a stool or to jump up and down to get the few items all the way in the back. My other complaint is that they really are not as large a capacity as they seemed to be. I definitely can not do the family sheets in one load, like I used to in my old machines.
Of note, I am not sure what the customer service or warranty service will be like since Ihad a problem even when I ordered them. I ordered them about 9 months before Ineeded them for a large renovation. When it was time for delivery, SpeedQueen said that they had changed the model for the first time in a long time and that the gas version was not yet released. Initially, I was told I needed to wait 1 more month. Well that became several months with no specific delivery time until about 1 week before I got them. In addition, the new models were several hundred dollars more expensive, which I was basically forced to pay. I feel that since I had ordered and paid 50% that they should have held back one machine for my order, or at least given me the option to take earlier delivery of the originally chosen machines.
Lastly, the instruction manual that came with the machines does not give any suggestion to clean the inner workings to avoid the front loader musty smell that often develops. In my old machines, once a month, the book said to do a diluted bleach wash. These machines do not suggest that, but I am not sure if there would be a problem - I will have to call. Overall I would recommend these machines, particularly if space is a bit tight, but also if you just want good reliable workhorses.

Built so much better than the last 2 laundry centers we purchased from Sears (each only lasted 5 years). And the laundry is coming out cleaner and dries so much nicer.

A substantial machine. Our old stackable shook the house on spin. We do not hear or feel the Speed Queen on spin, or any cycle. Programing is versatile. Very large capacity. Laundry is not a chore anymore, but a pleasure! An appliance repairman recommended this machine. Thank you Speed Queen.

We purchased this stacked unit after researching pretty much every brand on the market. We had great service from our prior stacked unit, but found the unit was no longer manufactured in the US and the reliability rating had gone down significantly. (We got over 20 years of trouble free service from it!).
We needed a smaller foot print, gas dryer, and decent capacity and high reliability ratings. This really narrowed down things to This unit alone.
We have now used it about 2 months and have been impressed with it's efficiency. Less water usage, and it's spin speed means the laundry comes out of the washer very "wrung out". Requires less dryer time. And the dryer is fast.
